The use of images from different sensors, at different spatial, spectral, and temporal scales, should assist in the planning and monitoring of large areas under restoration. With this project, we intend to answer what vegetation types make up forests under restoration; what are the successional stages of the different coverings of native vegetation; what biomass and carbon are stored in forests under restoration. The results should assist in the characterization of the ecosystem services for new forests and support the monitoring of vegetation with a focus on forests under restoration, supporting decision making by environmental agencies.
